I don't see why it was such a big deal to keep it underwraps. I can see keeping the date indeterminate because of the nature of video games, but I don't get why legal/press couldn't have just told us the who and what without telling us the when.

Ugh... lawyers.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the timeline in
the front of the books has had mistakes in almost all
of the recent books? I just got 501st and the
timeline doesn't include Death Troopers or 501st.

No, it's not just you. The timeline is ill. We're working on making it all better.

Sue, am I going crazy or what? TOS just posted a message that due to the printing problem, The Complete Vader will be released October 25, 2011!

Now, yesterday my Del Rey (thus US-copy) arrived here from amazon (and I have the UK Simon & Schuster version as well), so WHAT version will be released on October 25, 2011? Can you find out what is happening?

Hi Eddie,
It's the same version. There was a printing error -- the printer used an ink that backfired and made some of the pages stick together, so the book was recalled after it was released. It will be reprinted using a more stable ink and will be released in October 2011. Many of the books found their way to market, so if you have one and the pages stick to the point that you're not comfortable with it, you can return it and get the new one when it comes out.

It was a real disappointment for us and the authors.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. Well, I am verry happy with the book: the Del Rey pages were easily loosened, without damage to the pictures (unlike the UK-version in which some pictures were slightly damaged by the loosening of the pages)... Anyway, AWESOME BOOK!!!!

So... the value of my copy just went through the roof if its not being re-released for two years.

Definitely keeping it.

Henning, I'm not sure yours went up in value as much as you think. Chapters hasn't taken it off its shelves. I doubt it will.

I'm going to ask for it for Christmas! It would make a good coffee table book for my new house (especially since the one Coffee table book I really want isn't widely available [Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar]).

Maaan, there was a cheap copy of that officially listed on Amazon that someone bought RIGHT before I could.

Man me too, glad I got mine from Amazon. Some pages did stick, but no damage was done. What I do hope is that a Luke Skywalker book gets done. That would be kick ###. Heck most of the main characters can get books done.

I hope they kept the "hell" in Rookies. Parents who take offense at a character saying "hell" but have no issue with a character committing suicide in the same episode should rethink their priorities.
