Oh boy, I've pre-ordered my hand-signed copy a few weeks ago and am anxiously awaiting its arrival. Anybody has it already?

There's a sample rancor spread shown on the starwars.com feature here, but the photo does not do the book justice. The corner panels open up to reveal smaller pop-ups, and much of the art is in the actual unfolding of the pop-up.
Don't expect to find much in terms of new information; this is more a celebration Star Wars in pop-up form that goes lightyears beyond any of the previous Star Wars pop-ups int terms of paper engineering.
To really get a taste of what we're talking about here, check out some of the videos from an exhibition in Japan devoted to Robert Sabuda - Videos from Japan Seibu Gallery.

This was on The Colbert Report and I missed it? Aw, man... I might have to try and find that video. Any idea when that episode originally aired, Mr. Chee?

I notice, Tasty, that you seem to have taken a more active interest in this book than in the average SW product. Are pop-up books a particular interest of yours?

Pop-up books are friggin' awesome! How can you not have a really big interest in 'em?!
I've always loved pop-up books, they're just so awesome. I've always wanted to make one, too. I would study pop-up books just to see how they're made, and the more complex, the better.
I am so buying this book!

And don't ask me to confirm or deny that the original suggested title for the book was Star Wars Holocron: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy.

I take it this book is alot more complex than the average pop-up book on the market now? Over the years, it seemed to me that pop-up books had gotten more and more simplistic, without as many detailed paper fold-outs and lever-action nifty lil sliders and such.
I need to get to a bookstore... I wanna see this! You got my hopes up, I gotta know if the craftmanship that went into the pop-ups are as complex and detailed as I imagine 'em to be!
