I've got two more post just like this at other SW related sites, but with the delay of The Reurn Of Tag And Bink: Special Edition by one week, I thought I'd also start a post on the "official site" for anyone who may have questions about T&B. And yes, I really am Kevin Rubio. I mean think about it...who in there right mind would want to claim to be me?!

The names "Tag" and "Bink" are permutation of other names that can be found in earlier drafts of the first Star Wars script.

That script had names like: "Bean", "Wormie", etc. It really is a language all its own. And I think it's easier to get a name right then it is to get it wrong. But when it's wrong, it's REALLY wrong.

I think the common mistake is that people try to think "sci-fi", and make up names with a lot of "Xs", "Ys" and double letters like "Martok-Bin-Aabaek" (hey wait, that's pretty good

) . It also boils down to rhythm, and "Tag and Bink" had a nice ring to it.

There's a new character in the latest comic named "Kannen Doom" and that name was taken from a military base in Malibu CA, known as Canen Dunes. This seemed to fit the character. because she's a bounty hunter - that and the named rolled off the tounge and was very discriptive. I mean, wouldn't you like to know what type of a girl would travel around with the last name like "DOOM?"

I'm looking forward to this comic, but I haven't read the original Tag & Bink stories.

I did read "The Revenge of Tag & Bink" in whatever Tales that was.

So, my question is twofold:

1) Are there any plans to compile the Tag & Bink stories into a TPB, or be mixed in with others, and

2) Where's the best place to get ahold of old Tag & Bink stories?

Yes, there are plans to bring out a TPB. That's the main reason they asked me to do these other two.

While you can still purchase T&BAD II through the Jawa Trader, T&BAD I is near imposible to get. In some cases, it's selling on e-bay for upwards of $175.00. I'm sure that's just because the new one is due out next week.

When all is said and done, there wil be a total of 5 T&B's 4 (22 pg.) issues and 1 (12 pg.) short. But I don't think the short will be included in the TPB.

And here I thought for sure that Kannen Doom, first mentioned in Tales #24 "Fett Club," was a take on "canon doom" to reflect the Infinities nature of Kevin's stories. Thanks for clarifying.

Just an up-date: The talented Paul Ens just wrote to me to make sure I was legit. A "new" purple name tag should be forth coming, should there be people out there who still had their doubts.

It's kind of become a requirement by now.

If you go to darkhorse.com and look in the SW zone, sub-directory "Tag and Bink", you'll find a preview to the upcoming issue. Bob can be found on page 3 of the preview, sitting at the bar.
