Hey folks,

Abel G. Peña has been gracious enough to agree to make this his own "VIP" thread. It is here that you can ask him questions, discuss his works, share old school/obscure references that have a tendency to pop up in his works, and get to know the fan favorite author better.

A list of Abel's Star Wars works can be seen on his own website, here.

Furthermore please remember that Abel needs to be shown the same respect that all VIPs and posters in general deserve.

And of course it is important to know that Abel uses the Screen Name "Halagad."

Ooh, thanks Abel. I look forward to reading these, even if I won't get the Insider until way later than you guys in the Northern Hemisphere.

And Happy New Year to you also. :)

This sounds exciting. :) A more in-depth look at the backstory we briefly glimpsed in Labyrinth of Evil. Especially since I missed the History of the Mandalorians article.

Well, I'm not going to have to annoy you anymore about this, Abel!

This looks to be awesome and will definitely answer some questions as well as hopefully add some new names to Grievous's Jedi death list. I'm also eager to see Joe's work on the project. Not only because his drawings have been great in the past but Warren Fu's Grievous art in Eyes of Revolution in Visionaries was rather vague and hopefully we'll see more definitive pictures of Grievous as a Kaleesh warlord, his "Elites," the Huks (who I'm very curious about), and Grievous's plethora of wives.;)

will include detailed information on the Separatist army, his allies on Kalee, his weapons, wheel bike, starfighter and more.

His wheel bike? That thing was so wonderfully cool - and I loved the bit of information from a previous SW Insider that it was actually a civilian vehicle - so Joe Antilles can go out and buy one from the local speeder bike dealership?

I can't wait to read more on Grievous! After seeing him in current literature - especially Revenge of the Sith - he just seems overrated and over-hyped to me. If only one person has the ability to change this perception, it is Abel.

I am also looking forward to learning about N-K Necrosis in particular. If more elements introduced in Star Wars Galaxies start popping up in articles as definitive as Abel's, it might just give the game the boost that it *REALLY* needs at the moment ;)

I've been waiting for GG's earlier adventures. An now I'm going to get it. An then we're getting additional information on his allies an Vehicles in a follow up online supplement?

Thanks Abel!

Yep, but I'm sure that GG's version has a whole ton of custom modifications. A similar (though not nearly as cool) wheel bike was seen in the Droids cartoon, way back when.

Yeah, according to the Insider article, he replaced the passenger seat with that big gun on the side, and replaced a cushioned seat with a magnetic seat that held his droid body in place - he probably souped-up the performance and handling, as well.

Too bad he doesn't respond to magnetism like Bender from Futurama - he could have stopped fighting Obi-Wan and instead sung a duet with him...

Ah, an Aussie. I know your pain. I feel the same way about the new TokyoPop Star Wars manga anthology. :(

Much more in depth. You get to see just how slimy San "The Banking Clan will sign your treaty" Hill really is.

Many names, as Ichee can attest. I've included a special Jedi Hit List sidebar with the article, naming Grievous' kills.

hopefully we'll see more definitive pictures of Grievous as a Kaleesh warlord, his "Elites," the Huks (who I'm very curious about), and Grievous's plethora of wives.

You get your wish, jjs. Joe did incredible work on several of these themes.

Take care,
Abel

I'm looking forward to the illustrations to match the story. I always wondered what lizardman Grievous looked like prior to his cyborg body.
