As AnAkAiNsOlO noted, Karen has been the one VIP to grace the boards ALOT! and has been gracious enough to take time to answer questions relating to he works and passions. We the Fans have been lucky to have an author who throws herself into her work and still makes time for the little people
This has lead to Karen getting questions in almost every thread based on her works, to keep her head from spinning to fast bring all the one off and off topic Questions here. This way Karen can come to one place and answer people on her time with out hunting through the pages.
Please ask once, when Karen has the time she may or may not answer your question. Lets try not to hound her
Thanks again Karen for taking time out of your life for us fans
With my wholesome Mando home cooking! Ewok pot roast, Kaminoan sushi, uj'alayi... ---Karen Traviss

Karen, do you spend so much time here because you're avoiding work (like me) or are you getting paid to be here? j/k
About the new series, is the current characterization route started by Dark Nest being continued, or are the characters shifting back to their NJO-type personalities? I've heard (and given) many complaints about the dramatic shift in personalities, and we're all rather hoping to see our NJO characters back to normal again.

I'm not paid, tragically. But I regard interaction with readers as part of my job. And I still manage to write more than a million words a year. But that doesn't leave room for much else in life.
What the hell. It's fun!

Depends what you call normal. I just wrote 'em as I found 'em.

Hello Mrs. Traviss did you use to be an editor for any newspaper?

I did a lot of jobs in newspapers. I was never head honcho of a paper, but I was a news editor at one time, which was a horrible job. I'd rather be out reporting than driving a desk. I've worked in newspapers and TV news/ current affairs.

Sue said on another thread that she hopes there'll be more RC books.
All depends on how well Triple Zero does. If there's sufficient demand, I've got a notebook full of storylines.

Karen, you're intimately familiar with the adventures of the Deltas, so perhaps you can answer this query:
In the RC game it has the Kashyyyk missions right at the end of the Clone Wars. However, I just got the 'New Essential Chronology' and it has the RCs' mission on Kashyyyk occuring at the very beginning of the Wars.
So what I'm asking is, has the timeframe for the last campaign in the game been changed officially? Will the Kashyyyk mission have already happened by the time of 'Triple Zero'?
Also, I think the NEC (not the one in Birmingham) is the first SW reference book to feature your stuff - the Qiilura mission - so how does that feel?

News to me. I've only ever heard it referred to as being at the end of the war. Have you asked Tasty over on BCATQs if this is a typo? They do happen. I certainly haven't put it there in the timeline for the RC books. Kashyyyk has definitely not happened by the time of TZ, or Sev wouldn't be in the squad.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it doesn't feel any different to my stuff being in the 'Cron. It just is. Now, when I name a big gun from the CW animated series, that does feel like something! There's no logic in that, I admit.

Karen,
Can you tell us if Waroo will be turning up in Legacy? Or if anyone will address whether or not he actually took up Chewie's Life Debt?
If, for whatever reason, you decided not to cotinue with writing novels, would you go back to journalism?

Yes I'm not the only one who noticed. As for it being said it was a joke...Wookiee's never joke about lifedebts.
