Has a canonical path for The Way of the Jedi been determined or will that wait until it is referenced by another source?

I would assume not as there is no main-line explanation of the path yet. When it gets referenced, I would guess we will an explanation. Therefore, as long as there are no contradictions I would assume that SOME path is canon, but we don't know which one.

Also, with LOTF now ending at 41 ABY, does that mean that the LOTF timelime from your blog is obsolete?
Yeah, probably. It was a good idea at the time....

When can we expect a cover for FOTJ,1 roughly? If you can't answer that, do you guys at least have an idea of what will be on it?
Luke is going to be on the cover of OUTCAST -- we had a really good meeting last week and the cover direction for TotJ is going to depart a bit from our other SW books. The logo will still be up top with the series title under it, but from there down it's a bit different.... More dynamic and iconish rather than a painted like a photo. I know there's a lot of debate about covers so I sure don't expect everyone to like it, but we like it here and it's very cool. Won't be ready for posting for a while yet, though, as we picked only the look of the cover(s) and not the final art.

Hey Sue I have a question- what date do you think the Clone Wars Wild Space front cover will be released?
Maybe sometime the end of next week. Just a guess though -- don't hold me to it.

Sue, do you know if there are any plans to eventually fill in the 10 years of gaps between the NJO, DN, and LOTF? Also, are there plans to expand the New Republic vs. Empire war the occurred between 12 and 19 ABY which has yet to be covered? These are both areas where a lot of fans (myself included obviously) want to see more information about.
I know that you probably can't talk about the other books in the new contract yet, but is this something you would be willing to look into in the future?

I was at a Terry Brooks reading a few weeks ago and he mentioned that Del Ray was going to be pulling many of the mass market paperback titles and replacing them to trade paperbacks (2-in-1, 3-in1, etc.). Is Del Ray planning something similar for the Star Wars books?
No, that's not the plan for SW. Not that I've heard anyway. The only Trade Paperbacks will be the remaining Clone Wars books. So far there's been no decision on whether the reprint for the movie novelization will come out in trade, or regular mass market size.

but is there a specific reason the multi-author series now have shorter titles or is that just the style?
They're easier to fit on the cover?

Sue,
I would just like to say a big well done to you and the great people over at Dark Horse comics. I received my copy of Luke Skywalker: Last Hope for the Galaxy last week and it is amazing. Such an impressive book on my favourite character.
Quick question, not a problem if you can't answer but like someone asked earlier. If LotF began in 40 ABY and it ends in about half way through 41 ABY what is the first book that is in 41 ABY? Just curious.

Also, why isn't Order 66, True Colors, The Force Unleashed, and The Clone Wars novelization in that contract?
Those were part of a separate contract (actually three separate contracts). The Republic Commando books had their own contract, the Game tie-ins are on a separate contract, and the Clone Wars is a separate contract. Moving forward, the game tie-ins and Imperial Commando books are part of the large contract and aren't separate any longer.
It's all very confusing.

Sue: When can we expect to hear more news regarding the new Scholastic series Rebel Force? The first two titles Target and Uprising are appearing on various rumor mills. Is there an official press release coming in the near future?
I honestly don't know because I'm not the editor on the Scholastic books. I'll check to see what's up though.

Is it just me, or are novels getting shorter, with fewer pages and bigger type. It seems the last few books I have read feel to be considerably shorter then previous ones. Is this a continueing trend, can the authors not churn out more?
Stories take as many pages as they take to tell a good story.
I just received the manuscript for LUKE SKYWALKER AND THE SHADOWS OF MINDOR and it's 419 pages. Now, that's the ms, not the actual page count once it goes to press.

Oh I got a question for Sue or someone. Why is Blood Oath coming out after Outcast. Wont Outcast which is what 2 years later have major spoilers for what happens in Blood Oath? With them both out in April seems kinda silly to me...
No, there won't be major spoilers.

Sue, have you already approached an (or more than one) arttist(s) for the fate of the jedi series ? If so would you agree to share names please ?
As soon as we've finalized the cover, I'll share the name of the artist. I won't share the names of the other artists because I don't want, in any way, to "tarnish" their rep by putting out info that they weren't chosen and people taking that as they weren't good enough, which wasn't the case at all.
And by the way will we get a look at blood oath's cover (and possibly a blub) soon ? I can't wait to finally get a proper depiction of adult zekk
You'll see it first on sw.com.... once it's finalized and approved, I'll give you a head's up. In the meantime, just sit on those typing fingers.......
