With 2 sons now dead, both whom were jedi will this strain the relationship between the 2 longtime friends or do you think han is able to see that both anakin and jacen's deaths were out of luke's hands?

I think Han sees what was happening and doesn't blame Luke.

And thanks for the light, i think.

Just personal preference.

But, Sue, is it true that "Millennium Falcon" is, in fact, only a fake name--much like "Blue Harvest"--used to hide the truth that the next novel is actually about the Dusty Duck?

I'd like to make a witty comeback, but I'm afraid too many would take me seriously! Yes, the actual name is MILLENNIUM FALCON, but in-house we're calling it "the MF book."

chocolates... yum.

Sue, regardless of the views of LOTF, will you and the rest of the DR/LFL crew when looking at what to do after LOTF & the MF book look into the possibility of focusing on one shots or duologies rather than inconsistently written series? Not that I feel my ideas are express of everyone in the fanbase but I'd love to see more novels which are character driven and less plot driven. We've had alot of upheaval IU and considering the next big war for the whole of the galaxy is less thn a hundred years away isn't there cause to start real small scale problems which can be the setting for our heroes to develop in?
I realise my idea is hardly new but it would make a refreshing change, and not allow the problems that the NJO & subsequently LOTF created.

Sue, Given that we concluded LOTF and we now have the MF book coming out. Without saying too much, is there a decent possiblity that we can have another series with the Big 3? I'm going to tell you that even though some fans might not agree with me, I believe that the NJO, Swarm War and LOTF eras are one of the best. I mean you guys litterly moved the timeline forward and introduced so many topics that not even the entire line of Bantam books were able to do. And when you add the Legacy comic books, this era is just unbelievable.:)

Sue, thanks for spending some of your busy schedule with the fans. I loved the series, especially Jaina-as-the-heroine. My one beef - Where's the kiss? Epic Star Wars drama with a total movie feel and no :x

Seriously, the ending was perfect. I am, however, casting my vote for some future J/J smooches, pretty please?

Aaron, *insert spaz followed by reversion to realspace* B-) Your explanation of Tycho's circumstances confirms what I got from the book. He's always been a man of duty; his actions fit his character. In a broad story it was great he had any page time. I enjoy not having it all spelled out so I can create my own little backstories.

I think the fan reaction to Tycho in LotF is a sign that fans would like to see more of characters like him, perhaps X-pand the X-wing Series? Stand-alone books with action, drama & mayhem? Written by someone who knows the Rogues well...

(but please have Aaron write those books after the J/J book we all know he'd be perfect for)

I'll insert my own witty comeback in your stead and laugh heartily over it :^O

No need to be calling it harsh names- what did it ever do to you? ;)

Hey Aaron --

Nice to see you here.

Thanks, Sue. I probably can't stay for long, but if you ever get mobbed by "What the hell was Aaron thinking?" questions here, just drop me a line. I'll run in and draw the heat. :)

Sure, I'd love to write something like that. If the opportunity came up, I'd be on it like a thud bug on ryshcate. (Okay, there's your first sticky insectile Star Wars simile of the day.)

But my tastes tend to run to smaller-scale stories of more personal derring-do, and that's why it's important that people like Sue and Shelly decide which stories get greenlighted and which don't. They have a much better sense than I of what will play to the broader SW audience.

To maximize the odds that something like this could happen in the future, all you have to do is convince everyone at Lucasfilms and Del Rey that such a series would be impossibly cool, hugely profitable, and a pleasure for everyone involved to work on. Simple, no? Let me know when you've done it. :)

Another thud bug, more ryshcate.

Oooh, oooh!!! Raise's hand, jumps around, waves frantically!! I'm in, I'm in - I'll buy whatever you want me to...beg whoever you want me to beg...is there a bribery fund somewhere? Food maybe? Homemade buckeyes (peanut butter balls dipped in choclate)? :)

Rogues with Luke on an adventure - that's what I dream about!

Aaron, if you're still around, I have a question about the tassels. How did you come up with the meaning behind them all? Did they all have relevant meanings, or did they just sound interesting at the time? Could some of them been referring to other Sith in the EU or were they all intended to refer to Jacen?

BTW, I loved every one of your books, with Betrayal being my favorite. And I really enjoyed the Wedge/Tycho/Syal scenes.

With all the video game tie-ins that are hugely successful I fail to understand why the X-pansion of the X-Wing series hasn't happened yet, other than they've had the author of the coolest Star Wars book ever - SoA - tied up writing LotF. X-wing books, X-wing video games, X-wing figurines, toys, comics - the potential for profit seem endless. And a pleasure to work on? No brainer, the powes-that-be would be hard-pressed to find a fan who doesn't have a fond memory of the X-wing series. Who wouldn't want to work on it and have fun doing it?

Anyone who can't answer with a "yes" just needs some ryshcate.;\

As for smaller scale stories about personal derring-do, sounds eerily similar to some movie called Star Wars that I saw when I was a kid. Yeah the backdrop was epic, but the tale...

If my $10 at the bookstore has any vote, it says I'm buying. (FWIW, every one of my X-wing and both my EL books has had to be replaced at least once because I've read them to tatters. So do I get two votes?)

Here's my vote - Allston writes a J/J book with Rogues involved, more Syal, more Wedge, more Tycho, more Fels.

Is it as simple as wishing? No. But I figure my best bet as a fan is to speak up...either that or strive for galactic supremacy and make LFL and Del Rey bend to my will.

For now, when the powers-that-be find ryshcate delivered to the statue of Yoda at the Presidio they'll know who it's from. I'm not above bribery by sugary snacks.

Anyone got the recipe for ryshcate?
