Outcast, Omen, and now Abyss. I'm liking the titles.

Sure it was...
A while back when we where asking about the covers of FOTJ, you said they would be more "More dynamic and iconish rather than a painted like a photo", could you explain what that means a bit more for us non-art majors.
No book covers yet?

Abyss, eh? Pretty cool. I was thinking they were all going to be "O" titles, which would be weird, since there was a message in my alphabets the other day. It said "ooooooooo"
I believe what Leland and I tell you every time is that LFL hasn't come up with a comprehensive timeline that incorporates ALL of the clone wars books (including the ones published a while back) and the individual animated series episodes within a timeline. The authors include the references in their books, and then we check to see if those references could at all be realistic, or if they need to be changed.
Whoa! That's awesome to hear. What with the fact that the dates given for the new Clone Wars stuff can't be at all realistic.

Probably similar to the very cool ORDER 66 cover, I would imagine. Or perhaps a return to the Drew Struzan style of cinematic art.

Would be interesting, I always liked the Japanesse covers more then the English ones.

I would love to see covers that look similar in style to the posters for the films.

Troy Denning's still writing it, right?
Mmmhmm, yeah I thought so.
PS - I really like Abyss as a title. I hope it doesn't get changed like Enigma, which I also thought was a sweet title.

"More dynamic and iconish rather than a painted like a photo", could you explain what that means a bit more for us non-art majors.
Icons are closer to representations of something rather than the actual something. For instance, a photo of a pyramid shows the variations of color and texture of the stone, the steps are visible, as well gaps and flaws, etc. -- a photo. A drawing of a triangle filled in a solid color against a desert background could be an iconic representation of a pyramid.
As someone wrote, the ORDER 66 cover is slightly more iconic than a painted or photographed clone trooper. It's more graphic than a painting.
The covers for the Fate of the Jedi series aren't going to be in the painted Drew Struzan style, or the style that's used on the Japanese covers, they'll be more graphic, more representational. They'll still have characters and settings (perhaps), and you'll get a feeling of the character and an emotional response from the cover.
Once the cover for OUTCAST is finished and posted, I expect mixed reviews. It's still a month to 6 weeks away....

Thanks for the response Sue. Sure we all look forward to the new look.
Any other cover news, I remember you saying Wild Space and Blood Oath were close.

Just wanna pop in and say that I LOVE the title of FOTJ 3. Any particular reason why the titles are being released so early?
