I've been reading some historical books about China, and sometimes when I get to a major event or character, I say"Hey, this really sounds like SW.", So I was wondering if anybody else has similar, how shall I put it, feelings. If you do, post it here. Many Chinese SW fans think that it's pure American and has nothing to do with China and themselves. So this ca n bea major project in "motivating" our friends.

Could you give some examples of such cases? I would like that. Thanks.

The ancient Chinese philosophy of TAO is very similiar to what Jedi Order and the concept of "Force" is trying to put with.

What never happened of Chinese History to Star Wars time line is that: Over 5,000 years of Imperialism never changed to Republic then back to Imperialism...and then 2nd Republic.
However, we will see what happened in the future of China....

Like Roy said, there is taoism, that is a good one. And have you ever heard about Yuan Shi Kai that took over the country a few years after the first Republic? Read some of details Rayten, and you'll find them shockingly familiar. Of course he didn't have anyone like Vader but didn't stop him, did it? After that there is the Tsing Emperor's Cultrual ban and the Comminist's Cultural Revoltlution which tends to make even Palpy and Vader look "humane". Have you ever read Mao's work that started to entire revolution? Accusing one of his oldest generals of treason. ]:)

Tao Te Ching

1 (of 81)
The Tao that can be followed is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the origin of heaven and earth
While naming is the origin of the myriad things.
Therefore, always desireless, you see the mystery
Ever desiring, you see the manifestations.
These two are the same--
When they appear they are named differently.

This sameness is the mystery,
Mystery within mystery;

The door to all marvels.

Then when we start to talk about stories and history of China, we should begin with:

A long time ago in a land known as China far, far away...
Though its never so far away for most people here.:p

Forgive me, for perhaps you may perceive my post to be ignorant, but I have been wondering the following for a long time. Thanks for your help :)

A lot of people, I assume, in the "China Threads"/"Blogs" probably obtain various translations/subtitles in Chinese texts. 'Yoll border them fellow Indians, and I was wondering, considering many of you probably have translated/subtitled copies of SW books and movies, where do you guys think I could find some books or movies translated into Hindi, or other Indian languages?

I noticed there was no thread for the Indian region, therefore I really appreciate your help :)
