I've searched around and haven't found anything on this. It is well known fact that OB1 never obtains the rank of master, but if Anakin becomes a Jedi Knight then how come OB1 doesn't obtain the rank of Master?
If you have seen the webcam it says that Anakin is a Jedi Knight.

hey jediforcefreak. I seriously doubt that he does... since he didnt follow the Council's advice to not train Anakin. Well I guess I have to see the movie first!

The clone war is at it's peak, and all the jedi, including the ones on the council, are involved with the war. So there's just not enough time to update rankings or promote among the jedi order. In EP2, Anakin was already close to being a knight, so prolly sometime shortly after the war started, he got the rank of Jedi knight.

In regards to what you are saying if Ani gets his title then surely there is enough for OB1 to get his, since he did train him.

Anakin is a Jedi Knight in Episode III, so that would make Obi-Wan a Jedi Master.

I originally didn't think Anakin was a Jedi Knight, but he is.
There was some Ask the Council question that said old Ben was a Jedi Knight.
It would be cool to see him reach Masterhood though.

One of the requirements to Masterhood may be successfully training a Padawan into a Knight, however that's not established canon.
From the Databank
The next level of rank in the Jedi order is the Jedi Master, reserved for those who have shown exceptional devotion and skill in the Force. It is from the ranks of the Jedi Masters that the High Council is chosen, which is the main interface between the Jedi and the government of the Republic.
No specifics there.

Master Kenobi you disappoint me, Yoda holds you in such a high esteem
Obi-Wan was a Master jedi, and by the way, Anakin obteined the rank of knight at the end of ROTJ

Could you provide a link to where you got that. I've seen no such thing, and it was always my impression that Obi-Wan never became a Jedi Master.
I've wondered for some time how they decide which Jedi become Masters-- perhaps a different set of trials, or maybe a review by the Jedi Council? The Databank seems to imply that you have to do more than just successfully train an apprentice.
Maybe Obi-Wan earned the title, but the Order was wiped out before he could be given the rank of Master.

If you're talking about this one:
http://www.starwars.com/community/askjc/jocasta/askjc20020606.html
It doesn't say Obi-Wan became a Master. It merely says that when the Kaminoans called him "Master Jedi" in AOTC, they were using an honorific, and that he wasn't really a Jedi Master at that time.
