Most people have never heard of April Gillespie. Let me tell you who she is. She's the person that told Saddam back in 1990 that he could invade Kuwait.
Shortly before the invasion, Saddam called a meeting with then US ambassador April Gillespie, who told Saddam: "We have no opinion on the Arab-Arab conflicts, like your border disagreement with Kuwait."
This gave Saddam the green light to invade Kuwait thus starting a chain reaction that so many years latter American soldiers are getting killed in Iraq.
So, what do you think of this person? Should she be arrested and beaten for treason or should she be thrown out of the country?

Her name is April Glaspie, and this has been discussed many times before in previous versions of the Matr- I mean Bush thread.

Bush wanted peace with Saddam but Glaspie went beyond her authorization and gave Saddam the green light he was looking for.
Anyway, my opinion is that Bush Sr. was a horrible President who had very liberal ideas on how the country should be run. I was glad he lost re-election.
