This film is just so cool. One of the best films i've ever seen and its now one of my favorites. Great cinematography and music. And all the little sub-plots and the ending. This film is without a doubt won the Best ever made. I looked and saw there was no thread on it so here it is.

Anyone else seen "The Sting" - what did you think of it?

I don't remember much about the film, but I did have the soundtrack on LP and dug it. Maybe I need to look into getting it over again on CD.

You should watch the film again. Very intresting plot. Truly one of the Greatest films ever made. Just a good old fun film made during Hollywoods golden age.

Well, the Sting was made during the early 70's or late 60's, if I'm not mistaken, not quite Hollywood's golden age imo, but I agree, this movie rocks. One of my favorites of all time. While I love many of the newer films, I'll jump on the "they don't make em like they used to" bandwagon...movies don't seem to be as character or plot driven as they used to be. Sigh.

That is true - they don't make them like they used to. So when do you think Hollywoods Golden age is... 30s and 40's...
Well I read in an article about the sting that it is a true classic from hollywoods golden age. But thats beside the point. The point is the Sting rocks and that movies were better 30 years ago.
