Thanks, Sue do thing then get second, and then third etc editons because of renewed demand or are they unrelated

It is related for the most part. Sometimes if a book continues to sell they'll go ahead with another edition before the orders have justified it, knowing that the orders will be there. Sometimes they wait until the orders themselves justify another edition. It depends on the title and how it's been doing. I don't know how many orders would justify a reprint, though. Not in my area of expertise.

Is Destiny's Way almost ready for a second edition, with Ylesia included?

Yes, I know about th e PDF version of Ylesia. I'm just wondering if the in print version will be coming out soon?

Yeah, I really would like to know as well. I borrowed a friend's copy of Destiny's Way and downloaded the pdf of Ylesia, but I would like to own them in a single volume. Every time I go to the bookstore, I always check the sci-fi section for the 2nd printing of DW.

Ylesia. I just found out the bad news. As it turns out, because Destiny's Way was so fat and Ylesia was left out by error for the first printing, in order to include it in the second printing a new cover would have to be designed and printed to accommodate the extra pages. So... it ain't gonna happen. I know this is bad news. Perhaps it will give me even more leverage to get an anthology out of them... let's hope for that bright side.

Don't they have to make new covers in order create versions that don't have the foil and embossed elements in later editions?

Like for instance the first paperback of Heir to the Empire embossed and had Gold foil lettering. Later editions didn't have that, and the title text was recolored with just ink.

...or even bigger examples with the YJK foil cover vs later edition covers...or GOF hologram vs. non-hologram versions...?

They don't always create new covers. I remember that TRUCE AT BAKURA came out with a new cover, but in general, the mass market paperbacks keep the same cover throughout their lifetimes, unless there's some special promotion or something.

Sue,

Do the Republic Commando game and book have official timeline placements yet?

If not, when do you think they will?

Not officially yet as I just checked the Holocron and it hasn't been added. But as best as I can remember, it's placed shortly after the Battle of Geonosis. Three months sticks in my mind...but it might be closer to the Battle than that. It's very early on. I don't have time to go through my file just now...
