Got a question about a spelling discrepency you spotted in two or more Star Wars sources? Post here for the current "official" spelling.

Here are some of the more commonly known discrepencies:
"Kashyyyk" "Wookiee" not "Wookie" "Tosche" not "Toshi" "Klivian" not "Klivan" "Dack" not "Dak" "Dressellian" not "Dresselian" "Klatooinian" not "Klatooinan" "Taanab" not "Tanaab" "Bogden" not "Bodgen" "Wilhuff Tarkin" not "Willhuff"

"Bogden" not "Bodgen"
So the Bodgen swamp world from the Droids TV show is the same as the Bogden referenced in AOTC and explained in the Boba Fett books? The one from AOTC has several moons, so is the DTV Bogden one of those moons?

Wookiee" not "Wookie
That's a big one. Many SW fan sites insist on spelling it with only one "e", and cite the novelization as a basis. (Although I think the novelization spelled it both ways.) Like "Blue 5", that has officially changed. Wookiee!

So the Bodgen swamp world...
Yep. We've determined that "Bodgen" was a typo.

How about Gamorr (homeworld of the Gamorreans) vs. Gamor (from Dark Empire's "Gamor Run")? Actual difference, or spelling error?

We treat spelling discrepencies as any other continuity issue - on a case-by-case basis, weighing in how many sources a certain spelling is used, the size of the audience of those sources, and internal notes.

It's somewhat ironic that it's spelt "discrepancies". ; )

Maybe they spell discrepancies as discrepencies in the star wars galaxy.

That would make sense, considering the number of times Rogue and Rouge seem to be swapped in these forums.

Doh! Can the mods change the titles of threads? If so, please do. I promise I'll correct the error of my ways from now on whenever using the word discrepancy.
