TUF says a bunch of times that the war has been going on for five years, while it's only been a little over four since VP came out. ...My guess on the five-year thing is that it was a simple/silly mistake.
That pretty much sums it up. Unifying Force starts off about a month after the end of Final Prophecy.

Although, Tasty, the timeline in the books states that the NJO is 25-30 years ASW4.
Does this mean that the timeline is wrong?

Are there going to be any more novels set between ROTJ and the NJO? (Sorry if it's too soon to ask).
And is there any chance that such novels might explore the relationship between Winter and Tycho Celchu in more detail? (As a subplot, of course, I know they're pretty "minor" characaters).
Or any chance of a Corran and Mirax novel along the lines of Tatooine Ghost or Survivor's Quest?
(I know these are pretty silly questions, but I couldn't resist asking...)

The problem would be that the situations would be so far divergent from the original plan for the series that the novel would probably not make a whole lot of sense, even in the context of Infinities.
You could easily just slap together an ebook (with the existing cover) and put a preface in it explaing that it is the unedited manuscript for a book that was cancelled because the direction of the NJO was changed and that you decided to make it available online (for a small fee, of course) for your dedicated fans, who spent hundreds of dollars on the NJO, as a bonus and thank you. Personally, I think you could make quite a bit of pocket change.

Also, cancelled novels are generally not resurrected if they take place in a fixed series, such as the Star Wars line.
Out of curiosity, if Crystal Star had been cancelled in 1994, would you be so eager to read it?

Maybe, maybe not. But I'm not a real big fan of Vonda's other works (they range from okay to bad), whereas I'm a big fan of MJF's stuff.

Personally, I think you could make quite a bit of pocket change.
And there's the point: why get pocket change when you can go for the seven-figure salary? Ebooks, and their accompanying full-length in-continuity novels, generally are very high draws, especially when the eBook is released in the mass market paperback publication of the hardcover novel it accompanies. What would be the draw for an e-novel that was originally cancelled, is being labeled as Infinities, and won't be republished in a mass market paperback?
And, btw, please choose a screenname. It's obvious you're using two. That is not allowed. Choose one to use, the other will be locked.

Umm... just out of curiousity, who are you referring to? (I'm guessing you're referring to myself and w_k, but I'd like to know for sure if I'm being falsely accused of something before I react.)

Yes, who are you referring to? If you are referring to me, then it is obvious you don't know what you are talking about. I don't appreciate being accused of something that I would not do, and I would like an apology

Tasty and / or Pablo,
Picking up from Coop's question and Tasty's response, will we ever see an official timeline of the New Jedi Order (other than the listing of books in the novel timelines)? One with the listing of major battles and events? I don't know the feasibility of it considering the site staff is basically Pablo and Paul, but I would love to see a New Jedi Order section of the site similar to that of the Clone Wars. It wouldn't have to be near as extensive, maybe with the aforementioned timeline and some other extras.
Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Nick

I might be mistaken about some of the dates later on in the series. The authors started getting sloppy about internal chronologies (or at least vague) at around the time Traitor came out.

DW was a bit longer, I'd say 32 - 36, with Ylesia staying where it is.
Also, TFP occured soon after FH3, so Id' move it a bit earlier, and leave TUF as is.
Oh, and 22 for Star by Star.

"DW was a bit longer, I'd say 32 - 36, with Ylesia staying where it is."
Ok gotcha.
"Also, TFP occured soon after FH3, so Id' move it a bit earlier, and leave TUF as is."
Well TUF says TFP was only 3 weeks earlier, and that Reunion occured 2 months earlier (with Zonoma Sekot being discovered 3 months earlier).
"Oh, and 22 for Star by Star."
Just curious, but why?
